Compare and Contrast of the Presidency of Woodrow Wilson and Theodore Roosevelt By HIS 204 American History since 1865 Instructor: Kathleen Scarpena November 25, 2013 Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson are two of America’s most celebrated presidents during the 20th century. Theodore Roosevelt who was a Republican had a military background and created the American conservation movement. Theodore Roosevelt was also once shot by an would be assassin and still managed to give his speech. Roosevelt was famous by his quote â€Å"It takes more than one to kill a moose.† On the other had Woodrow Wilson who is a Democrat formed the idea of preserve peace. The stories about these men are the stories that are taught in our†¦show more content†¦As you can see these men were great in office they made sure that they fought for the American people to live in a society free of poverty. After reading over my information and locating articles t help me understand what these two men life in the office was like, I came to realize that Theodore Roosevelt was a person who wasn’t afraid to get involved in the wars and fight for his people what was right. Wilson was a more educated person a man that was more for the federal government. Woodrow Wilson belief was more for the economy and making sure that the American people was being treated fairly and the business was not being corrupted. In my opinion, I think that these two presidents was and should be considered the best president during the 20th century all because they fought for their people and made sure that the vompleted their duties while in office.
